CONTROLS AND INSTRUMENTATION SUPERVISOR

Salary: $95,000 to $107,000 Annually

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Willingness and ability to adhere to and promote plant values. Thorough understanding of industrial 3-phase motor control circuits; including VFD and servo motion control Must possess the ability to troubleshoot and correct issues by utilizing knowledge in; motors, control circuits, power supplies, AC&DC theory, analog and digital control instrumentation, networking (Ethernet and proprietary control network schemes) and power distribution. Management of the Calibration Program - Well versed with the calibration of field instrumentations/devices and lead the timely calibrations by either establishing PM’s or completion of PM’s Willingness to learn and use: CMMS systems for work order tracking, Time management software (Kronos) for employee time tracking, Continuous Improvement methodologies and tools such as One-Point-Lessons, SOPs and troubleshooting guides. Oversees repairs or preventative maintenance on all equipment and ensures procedures and methods are in accordance with regulatory and company standards. Understands operational urgency and supports production needs. Communicates with Maintenance Supervision/Management any condition that prevents the manufacture of products to established standards. Ensures safe operational practices and construction methods and be a present and active participant in required meetings. Adheres to and promotes all plant Safety, Quality, GMP and Sanitation policies. Knowledge of Allen Bradley Logix, Factory Talk and Metrics suites for programming, upgrading and troubleshooting purposes. Ability to learn Siemens Series 7 language and software suites for programming, upgrading and troubleshooting purposes Performs any and all duties as directed by Management.

 

Education, Experience, Skills and Competencies:

GED or High School Diploma with at least 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing. 5+ years’ experience with industrial controls, instrumentation and controls networks. Advanced computer skills with MS suite, AB Suite, and networking capabilities. Excellent troubleshooting knowledge and fully capable of electrical testing tools. Experience within PLC’s, analog controls, sensors, instrumentation and VFDs. Experience working with outside vendors and contractors and directing their work to complete projects on time. Able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
