Controls BAS/HVAC/DDC Field Technician

As a Controls BAS/HVAC/DDC Field Technician here at Honeywell, you will be accountable for providing technical assistance and service to our customers in the HVAC industry. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of HVAC control systems. Your expertise and dedication to customer satisfaction will contribute to the efficiency, comfort, and safety of our customers' buildings.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering exceptional service and assistance to our customers in the HVAC controls industry.

You will report directly to our Field Service Manager and you'll work from a Honeywell customer site according to a set schedule. 

\n

**This position will primarily support customers in Grand Forks, ND and Rapid City, SD. On occasion will support Midwest Region. Must reside within 50 miles of Grand Forks, ND or Rapid City, SD.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

\n\nCommission, start up, and tune control systems to meet customer specifications and job requirement\nInstall, configure, and test pre-engineered software for control systems\nDiagnose and resolve technical issues with efficiency and expertise\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to create and implement solutions tailored to customer needs\nProgram, troubleshoot, and maintain building automation systems to ensure optimal operating efficiency\nCollaborate with the engineering team to integrate BAS solutions\nEnsure compliance with all safety regulations and standards\nDocument all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records\nReport incidents, near misses, and improvement opportunities through the SOS system\nEnsure adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards\nAbility to work weekends and be on-call for customers\nCompany vehicle will be provided to travel to customer sites\nTravel: Up to 50%\n\n

MUST HAVES

\n\n2+ years of related BAS/DDC/HVAC experience\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently\nEffective communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent customer service skills with experience in technical phone or onsite customer support including good interpersonal communication skills\nValid driver’s license and safe driving record ability to pass background check\n\n

WE VALUE

\n\nTechnical Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science or related field\nKnowledge of DDC/BAS, HVAC, fire alarms, smoke control and/or security systems\nTridium Niagara 4 or Niagara AX experience (or willing to get certified)\nExperience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as Honeywell Front End Computers such as EBI, Tridium N4, Honeywell XLS1000 and XLS3000, Edwards and Notifier fire alarm system and other technologies for building DDC, fire alarm and security solutions\nBuilding Networks infrastructure knowledge (wiring, CAT, Cables, Fiber optics etc.)\nUnderstanding of typical communication topologies is important\nStrong computer, software and network skills, and knowledge are necessary for this position\nProficient in MS Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook\n\n
