To perform an electrical and PLC software commissioning within cost and time scale constraints of a material-handling project, whilst ensuring the commissioning methods and standards meet the requirements of the project.
Main Job Objectives
Deliver the assigned project scope and tasks by meeting\exceeding our safety, quality, On-Time-Delivery and budget requirements. To commission controls systems on-site including electrical and PLC software commissioning and to provide support to system test activities and training for the end userTo produce commissioning documentation including, but not limited to, commissioning checklists, tests specifications, Method Statements and Risk Assessments for Automated solutions to BS EN ISO 12100.To interpret electrical schematics and design input information.Ensure systems supplied are CE Compliant to the Machinery Directive.Commission Safety Related Part of the Controls system solutions to the regulations and in accordance with BS EN ISO 13849/13850/60204 etc.General Responsibilities

Tasks and Qualifications:HNC/HND in Electrical/Controls Engineering as a minimumDesirable: Educated to degree level in a relevant disciplineExperience in a similar roleGood understanding of PLC, HMI, SCADA development and commissioning softwareHands-on experience with electrical commissioning.Good understanding of Electrical and Electronic technical manuals & drawingsGood understanding of bus systemsUnderstanding of distributed control systems desirable not essentialUnderstanding of automated warehouse desirable not essentialBachelor or Master degree in Engineering
