Eaton’s Corporate Finance team is seeking an Operational Excellence (OpEx) Manager to support our global Controls & Compliance Advisory (CCA) team. This position will be based at our corporate office in Beachwood, OH, but remote work could be considered in the Eastern and Central time zones. If based remotely, around 20% travel is expected. If based in Beachwood, up to 10% travel is expected.
The OpEx Manager will drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency with the global CCA organization processes. Partner with CCA and Finance leaders to ensure all process efficiencies are implemented globally. This individual owns the implementation of the Eaton Business system within CCA, and will manage the portfolio of projects globally, including acting as point person for prioritization and reporting on the status of projects.
• Deploy Eaton Business System (EBS) Tools and Processes: Implement and utilize EBS tools and processes, including Leadership, Planning, Voice of the Customer (VOC), Talent, and Results, to drive operational excellence.
• Coordinate Assurance Activities: Act as a liaison to coordinate both external and internal assurance activities, ensuring compliance and quality standards are met.
• Define and Manage SLAs: Establish, manage, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance targets are achieved.
• Manage Balanced Scorecard: Oversee the balanced scorecard for CCA, ensuring effective communication processes to keep all stakeholders informed of ongoing progress and results.
• Oversee Process Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of processes to maintain clarity and consistency across the organization.
• Collaborate with Leadership: Work closely with the CCA leadership team to manage the global resource pool and maintain the internal control framework, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Drive Control Culture: Foster a culture of strong controls within the organization, ensuring adherence to ethical standards at all times.
• Develop Training Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive training strategies for controls, enhancing team capabilities and awareness.
• Share Best Practices: Disseminate best practices and lessons learned related to controls, promoting continuous improvement.
• Create Marketing Materials: Develop and distribute various marketing materials related to controls to enhance understanding and engagement.
• Collaborate Across Departments: Work with different departments to ensure alignment with control objectives and organizational goals.
• Report Metrics: Own and report on metrics related to internal control compliance, providing insights and updates to senior management.
• Provide Guidance: Offer guidance and support to teams on control-related matters, ensuring clarity and compliance.
• Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to controls, ensuring the organization remains compliant and competitive.
• Report Progress: Regularly report on the status and progress of control initiatives to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience in finance/accounting
• Minimum of 5 years focused on project/program management, continuous improvement, or advisory roles
• Must be able to work in the US without company sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred:
• Master's Degree from an accredited institution is preferred
• Experience as part of a best in class finance/accounting or financial OpEx team within a multinational manufacturing environment
• Broad accounting and finance experience within a corporate setting as well as within a manufacturing/operations setting preferred
• Continuous Improvement expertise and/or certifications (Six sigma or other)
• CPA a plus
• Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and USGAAP are desirable
• Detailed understanding of financial business processes (INV, OTC, PTP, RTR)
• Detailed understanding of internal control and risk management concepts
• Proven project management and change management expertise.
• Advanced desktop analytic skills with a process-oriented approach.
• Big picture and agile thinker with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with a customer-focused and adaptive mindset.
• Comfortable working in multicultural/multilingual environments; multi-cultural awareness and experience beneficial.
• Strong drive for results, with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and make decisions with limited supervision.
• Flexibility to anticipate and react to changes.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $141000.03 - $206800.04 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
