Job Purpose
Responsible for design, development, evaluation, analysis, selecting and ordering equipment that is most appropriate and cost effective for the manufacture of company products and systems. Oversees the installation, modification, upgrade and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes/systems. Keeps current on equipment manufacturers’ technical notices, upgrades and safety issues. Studies equipment performance and reliability. Provides technical support to operations and other disciplines within engineering organization. Identifies and develops processes needed to produce specific products and components.
Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan/perform the functions of the job. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Works under general supervision.
⦁ Implement PLC and Robot logic changes
⦁ Provide technical support to maintenance and operations
⦁ Coordinate electrical control equipment build, installation and training
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Not a supervisory position but this person is expected to coordinate the actions of Enersys Inc. employees and vendors to attain stated objectives.
COMPETENCIES:
Strong PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley & Modicon), Robot programming/troubleshooting (Adept & Fanuc), Electrical Code

Education and/or Experience: BS degree or equivalent experience in engineering. 1 – 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Language Skills: College level written and verbal English skills
Mathematical Skills: College level Geometry, Algebra, and Trigonometry
Reasoning Ability: Strong Root cause problem solving, visualization and quality tools
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and quality management software
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None
Other Skills and Abilities: Planning, analytical, assertive, and interact with various groups
