International is seeking a Controls Engineer with extensive experience in system engineering and embedded software development for electric and conventional powertrain vehicles. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for developing advanced controls software, defining and managing software development requirements, and conducting testing on both Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems and vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control systems, software development, and testing methodologies, with a focus on vehicle systems— such as torque systems and transmission controls.
The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure the seamless integration of system requirements, troubleshooting vehicle-level issues, and performing detailed data analysis. The individual must be familiar with the vehicle system lifecycle, from requirement development and DFMEA to post-production technical support, including model-based design and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink and industry-standard tools.
