Hexcel is currently seeking a Controls Engineer for our Casa Grande, AZ. USA facility. 

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: 

Responsible for the design, programming and implementation of PLC/HMI based control systems in a continuous processing environment.  Responsible for PLC programming, HMI/SCADA programming, system commissioning and final documentation tasks on all assigned projects.Develop custom data interfaces to industrial equipment using both standard and proprietary protocols.Design database structures based on requirements and needs. Develop databases and user interfaces for data entry and retrievalDesign report formulas with emphasis on both logical data presentation and overall report aestheticsDevelop SQL reports for industrial applicationDevelop and support in-house MES and process equipment control systems such as: Electrical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Schematics; Control panel design and fabrication; Vision systems; PLC Hardware/Software develop and programming; Motion Control development/programming; Factory Data (MES) collection systems; Advance Automated Machinery control schemes.Establish and maintain a professional and consistent work environment to help ensure Casa Grande remains a viable and healthy facility and provides a satisfactory work environment.Maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment.  Actively support and interact in monthly and/or plant refresher safety training using available resources and prescribed goals to determine and subsequently help eliminate actual and potential safety issues, unsafe acts and/or conditions to preclude accidents, to keep Hexcel employees safe, and to achieve the Department/Plant and/or Corporate Safety goals and objectives.  Operate at all times in compliance with the Hexcel Casa Grande Quality System and Quality Policy. Comply with Hexcel policies, procedures, and Code of Business Conduct.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline from a four year college or universityA Minimum of 5 years of Controls Engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing, continuous processing environment  Working knowledge of MES and process controls systems such as: Rockwell FTView SE, VantagePoint, Historian SE, Logix software platforms; ISRA and Cognex vision systems; VFD and servo drives; InduSoft Web Studio SCADA/HMI development software; Allen Bradley ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix,and SLC 500 software; Automation Direct DirectLogic PLCs and C-More HMIsWorking knowledge of electrical control hardware and software in accordance with local and national electrical codes, and standards set by OSHA, NEC and NFPA Familiar with Network Standards. Familiar with unmanaged Ethernet networking principles Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Experience in Autocad is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communications skills  Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
