Controls Engineer
Job Description: Electrical Controls Engineer Design electrical controls and associated software with PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and other hardware/software aspects of the company's Standard products and Custom Automation products. This role involves hands-on design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical controls and programming for custom and standard plastic assembly products to meet specifications, schedules, and cost requirements. Responsibilities + Design electrical controls and associated software with PLCs, HMIs, motion controllers, and other hardware/software aspects. + Hands-on design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical controls and programming for custom and standard plastic assembly products. + Produce conceptual custom systems design and quotes as required. + Perform final system run-offs to verify proper functionality. + Perform customer site installation, service, and customer support when needed. + Maintain documentation necessary for product manufacturing that conforms to industry standards and TQM practices. Essential Skills + Experience with controls engineering and PLC programming. + Hands-on skills in electrical design and PC programming. + BSEE or BSEET strongly desired. + 3-10 years of experience in the field. + Good organizational and communication skills. + Good mechanical aptitude. + Understanding and applying machine safety standards. + Performing machine risk assessments.
