Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controls Engineer to manage and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring all objectives are met according to the master schedule. The role involves writing equipment specifications, overseeing design and installation, and developing manufacturing processes that meet key performance indicators.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and manage the master engineering schedule for all projects.Lead, coordinate, and supervise teams to achieve plan objectives.Write equipment/tooling specifications and oversee the design, construction, installation, start-up, and trials of new equipment/tooling.Create documentation required for capital investment and obtain approval from upper management.Establish manufacturing processes that meet targets for capital investment, part cost, scrap, part performance, delivery, layout, cycle time, efficiency, safety, ergonomic, and quality deliverables.Develop documentation for processes including specifications, PFMEA’s, risk analysis, process plans, PFD’s, work combination tables, design reviews, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity charts.Support activities after processes are in production and work proactively to produce defect-free processes.Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis to investigate issues.Essential SkillsPLC programmingControls engineeringVision systems6-axis roboticsDesign and build control circuits for PLCsProject management from design through implementationUnderstanding of networking protocols including Ethernet, CC-Link, serial communication, and addressingWriting programs and teaching IAI’s and 6-axis robotsMacro writing and IP addressingReading and interpreting drawings, leading design reviews, and developing PFMEA’sRoot cause analysis for current and potential problemsKnowledge of Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing conceptsHigh aptitude for engineering principles and new technologiesKnowledge of TS and ISO requirementsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Keyence or Mitsubishi PLCsAbility to write complex PLC programs from scratchStrong work ethic and high productivityOwnership and responsibility for projectsWork Environment
This role is in a clean and safe environment, although it is non-climate controlled. The company is the largest employer in the area with 1200 employees, offering excellent benefits.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $100000.00
