Controls Engineer
Description + This position requires programming skills from ground up. Will be working on a project from start to finish, concept to install. They will be designing and programming control systems for automated equipment. + Candidate will need to spec components, create schematics in AutoCAD, work with the Design team for sequencing, program the machine, and then run debugging. + This position will require customer interaction and travel to customer sites for installation of equipment. There will be a support team for the installation but the Controls Engineer is not done with the project until the equipment is up and running at the customer site. + Will be expected to manage between 2-6 projects at a time depending on the size of the projects. It is expected that the customer is consistently being updated on progress of their project and communication is fluid. The timeline for most projects is between 18-26 weeks. Additional Skills & Qualifications - Two or Four year Engineering degree with an emphasis in Electrical, Automation & Robotics, or Mechatronics Engineering Ideally the candidate will have experience with the following: - PLC programming/troubleshooting (Allen Bradley) - Control panel design / layout - Control panel wiring and/or Machine building - Automated equipment - Ability to read/interpret a schematic - Ability to interact with customers - Exposure to project management and the full project scope/timelines - Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% of the time Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $55.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
