Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls Engineer Client is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controls Engineer to manage and coordinate engineering projects, ensuring all objectives are met according to the master schedule. The role involves writing equipment specifications, overseeing design and installation, and developing manufacturing processes that meet key performance indicators. Responsibilities + Develop and manage the master engineering schedule for all projects. + Lead, coordinate, and supervise teams to achieve plan objectives. + Write equipment/tooling specifications and oversee the design, construction, installation, start-up, and trials of new equipment/tooling. + Create documentation required for capital investment and obtain approval from upper management. + Establish manufacturing processes that meet targets for capital investment, part cost, scrap, part performance, delivery, layout, cycle time, efficiency, safety, ergonomic, and quality deliverables. + Develop documentation for processes including specifications, PFMEA’s, risk analysis, process plans, PFD’s, work combination tables, design reviews, trial reports, work instructions, condition standards, and capacity charts. + Support activities after processes are in production and work proactively to produce defect-free processes. + Conduct problem-solving and root cause analysis to investigate issues. Essential Skills + PLC programming + Controls engineering + Vision systems + 6-axis robotics + Design and build control circuits for PLCs + Project management from design through implementation + Understanding of networking protocols including Ethernet, CC-Link, serial communication, and addressing + Writing programs and teaching IAI’s and 6-axis robots + Macro writing and IP addressing + Reading and interpreting drawings, leading design reviews, and developing PFMEA’s + Root cause analysis for current and potential problems + Knowledge of Toyota Production System and lean manufacturing concepts + High aptitude for engineering principles and new technologies + Knowledge of TS and ISO requirements Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Keyence or Mitsubishi PLCs + Ability to write complex PLC programs from scratch + Strong work ethic and high productivity + Ownership and responsibility for projects Work Environment This role is in a clean and safe environment, although it is non-climate controlled. The company is the largest employer in the area with 1200 employees, offering excellent benefits. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $78000.00 - $100000.00 TG Kentucky offers a variety of benefits that include Health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, disability are paid and free for employers. Person will accrue 10 days PTO first 2 years, 13 paid holidays. Largest employer in area. 401k match up to 3%. They will cover COBRA fees for new employees until benefits start.
