Controls Engineer
Job Title: Controls EngineerJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be project-focused, handling various aspects of PLC programming, updating control systems, and making field program changes. This role involves minimal daily maintenance and offers opportunities for growth and cross-departmental training. Responsibilities + PLC programming and updating control systems in the field. + Troubleshooting mechanical equipment such as motors, routings, and process equipment. + Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, single line drawings, ladder logic, loop diagrams, and P&IDs. + Using diagnostic equipment, such as multi-meters, meggers, and mA calibrators. + Troubleshooting VFDs, DCS (Foxboro I/A), and PLCs (AB ControlLogix). Essential Skills + Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering or related field. + 6+ months of experience in PLC troubleshooting. + Proficiency in instrumentation skills. + Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs. + Mechanical and electrical aptitude. + Familiarity with process controls and programming languages. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Electrical and industrial experience would be a plus. + Mechanically inclined with a strong understanding of control valves, discrete valves, automated valves, and instrumentation. Work Environment The work environment includes 50-75% office work focused on programming and setting up future projects, and 25-50% on the floor troubleshooting.
