Job Description
We are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our team. We are open to Junior, Mid, or Senior-level candidates. This position requires approximately 30% travel to customer sites to learn the installation and commissioning process. The role involves designing and programming control systems for automated equipment, from concept to installation.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and program control systems for automated equipment.Spec components and create schematics in AutoCAD.Work with the Design team for sequencing.Program the machine and run debugging.Interact with customers and travel to customer sites for equipment installation.Manage between 2-6 projects at a time depending on size.Ensure consistent communication with customers regarding project progress.Support the installation team until the equipment is operational at the customer site.Essential SkillsPLC Programming (Allen Bradley)Electrical Design (AutoCAD Electrical)Experience with automated equipmentAbility to read and interpret schematicsCustomer interaction skillsProject management exposureWillingness to travel up to 30% of the timeAdditional Skills & QualificationsTwo or Four year Engineering degree with an emphasis in Controls or Mechatronics EngineeringControl panel design and layoutControl panel wiring and/or machine buildingExperience with robotics and motion controlFamiliarity with Rockwell productsWork Environment
Our company is family-owned and manufactures a wide variety of automated systems for manufacturing. We employ around 100 people. The Controls Engineer will share office space with 7 other Controls Engineers but will have their own cubicle. They will work closely with Mechanical Engineers in the same office area. There will be time spent on the manufacturing floor as the project progresses. The dress code is casual, with jeans allowed. The role requires 30% travel.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $55.00
