Job Description
Establish procedures to perform a variety of engineering work in the design and startup of PLC controlled systems for material handling equipment. You must have a fundamental understanding of equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of the technical solutions. You will participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging, and support of other engineering staff associated with electrical hardware engineering. You will also resolve basic site requirement changes and support solutions to complete designed equipment installation. System training is provided to increase PLC knowledge to learn to program PLCs that control conveyor systems and robotics within the customer's distribution center and warehouse.
ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project requirements and perform basic controls troubleshooting to support equipment installation with internal engineering, project management, and customers.Support electrical installation by interfacing with electrical installers.Debug electrical installation of controls and motor components of limited complexity.Essential SkillsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.3+ years of experience in controls engineering.Experience programming PLCs, Studio 5000, Rockwell.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with Allen-Bradley, Material Handling Equipment, Conveyors, Automation, and Rockwell RSLogix.Work Environment
This position requires travel 65%-75% of the time. The most extended travel schedule includes 10 days on the job site followed by 4 days off. Travel is across the country to client sites. Candidates are paid when traveling and are eligible for a daily per diem. All travel expenses are covered.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00
