Controls Engineer
The following roles and responsibilities describe a subset of the activities performed by a Controls Engineer within the Digital Manufacturing Systems department. This is not an exhaustive list, and the specific tasks may vary depending on project needs and priorities. The responsibilities outlined below represent a significant portion of the typical workload, but additional duties may be assigned as required. Estimate / study, plan and deliver Programs for PTME and VME programs, concerning Controls equipment and deliverables. 2. Implement Controls Best Practice with standards. o Launch Enablers – software systems applications (i.e. machine monitoring, quality systems, gauging systems, etc). o Change Control to be activated post green PROTAG via CCR / MTC systems 3. Support ETC Subcommittee member, as required. 4. Lead Controls interface (software applications, OEM integrations, etc.). 5. Integration team lead with GVPE detail review of drawings (Approval, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, Electrical). 6. Support approval requests for deviations/waivers from OEM's and Plant via core engineering. 7. Issue resolution during machine build and Installation. 8. Support fresh eyes on other current programs. 9. Maintain 10-panel and 15-panel deliverables in OPIC system. 10. Identify and develop with facilities the power drop requirements for each asset and ensure wire size fits main disconnect under a single lug, identify Burndy style reducers required 11. Document all machine acceptance in the MIDAS system Including responsibilities listed in the “Engineer” section. o Includes responsibilities listed in the “Lead Engineer” section. o Support the “Production Engineering, Standards” sections. 12. Troubleshoot and resolve production-related downtime (i.e. PLC programs, HMI Screens, etc.). 13. Deployment of Manufacturing 4.0 strategies and specifications. 14. Ensure all Equipment complies with PTME and VME Controls Standards 15. Coordinate Virtual Commissioning of software systems with GVPE and OEMs. 16. Support IT interface for AE VM, GTSv / Royal, Q-DAS, Sciemetric / WMA, MDT. 17. Support cybersecurity compliance for all CPN, MPN, and non-OA plant-floor PCs. 18. Support for FAST and OMS standards. 19. Responsible of all Controls related Procedures and Specification are followed. 20. Support Software applications development for plant floor systems and integration into new and existing databases (QWX, WMA, QLS-CM, etc…). 21. Responsible for coordination and communication of Cyber Security updates and issues. 22. Responsible for Controls deliverables during the Program Phases (Study, SIMO, Design, Build, Launch & RoC). 23. Implement and Review Lessons Learned from Other Programs 24. Support & Lead Enquiry Specifications, ESWP, SPA & Purchasing Processes. 25. Review Risk Assessments, Bill of Materials, Controls Strategy, Naming Convention, CPN Strategy and other Controls Architectures. 26. Complete Machine Acceptance Check List, Runoffs-Buyoffs, Manufacturing IT Systems, Equipment Validation Process, Tradability Strategy, Safety Documentation & PROTAG reviews. 1. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Electromechanical Engineering. 2. The candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in developing manufacturing processes. 3. Excellent communication skills in professional English, both oral and written. 4. Must have United States of America VISA and Passport available. 5. Ability to work collaboratively with different teams. 6. Strong problem-solving skills. 7. Experience with Quality Standards and Regulations. 8. Experience in Purchase Orders generation and follow up to invoice payment. 9. Familiarity with PTME procedures for Equipment Acceptance. 10. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. 11. Strong organizational and time management skills. 12. Flexibility to work extended hours as required. 13.
