About the role This position will be directly responsible for the continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment as well as the innovation of new machine control methods. Strong level of knowledge in the design, implementation, improvement and operation of industrial systems utilizing PLC's, pneumatic & hydraulic systems and servo-controlled motions. Application of intermediate to advanced level engineering principles, theory and concepts. Propose solutions for more complicated engineering problems. Communicate with customers (both internally and externally) on a regular basis. Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 Annual Broad-Based Bonus: 15% What you will be doing + Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment. + Proficient knowledge of Southco manufacturing processes, techniques, materials, finishes, documentation systems, CAD system, and business system. + Select electromechanical equipment, materials, components, and systems to meet functional requirements. Review projects including quotes, job specifications and resolve any quote to job specifications differences. + Complete project assignments and accountabilities, related to controls engineering, machine building, and robotic installations, on schedule and on budget. + Complete training to facilitate accurate and efficient accomplishment of job duties. + Install, program, and debug PLC’s, AC/DC drives, HMI’s and servo drives. + Interpret and maintain electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, PLC programs and machine layouts. About you + Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline (electro-mechanical, industrial automation) + Demonstrated track record of successful project completion and implementation + 3-5 years' experience programming PLCs, AC/DC drives, HMIs, and Servo Drives.
