Scope of Position

In this Internship, you will provide engineering support for job classifications that engage in within the Engineering/Manufacturing job family. We look for you to work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.

Social and networking opportunities Weekly tech talks Community involvement Education Minimum of 2+ years working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering and Computer Science/Engineering Key Responsibilities Teamwork to accomplish objectives. Wiring of the associated equipment to the controls and sensors. Participation in the design and programming of the control systems. Participation in demonstrations and presentations of the project to Leadership. Continuous documentation describing the outcome of projects/experiments. Final presentation at the conclusion of the internship.

 

Requirements

Ability to work in a plant environment Technical curiosity Basic Electrical/Mechanical aptitude. Basic programming skills Organized & Flexible Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity. ​The range for this position is $1,635.00 - $3,185.00 biweekly.  Starting pay for the successful applicant is prescribed based on geographic location, nature of position, and year in school.
