Job Title: Controls Engineering Specialist

Job Description

The Controls Engineering Specialist will design and develop control programs for electro-mechanical and electronic control refrigeration systems. This role involves reading project wiring diagrams and I/O to develop Refrigeration Rack Control programs, reviewing hardware and instrumentation schematics, and assisting engineers in writing sequences of operations for the control programs.

ResponsibilitiesAssist production team with as-built changes.Communicate effectively with engineers, field service technicians, and customers during start-up and operation.Troubleshoot with field service technicians and customers to diagnose field deviations.Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities through engineering to ensure products and systems conform to design and customer specifications.Communicate with production personnel to build systems according to specifications.Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.Essential SkillsProficiency in automation, refrigeration, PLC programming, troubleshooting, electrical controls, and engineering.3-5 years of experience in programming CPC's, PLC's, and HMI's with complete systems integration.Experience with electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting.Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.Strong working knowledge of refrigeration system circuit design.Familiarity with electrical control panel design with field experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, but equivalent HVACR experience is also considered.5 years of refrigeration systems knowledge and experience required.Experience in quoting, sales, and/or B2B customer interaction is a plus.Knowledge of natural refrigerants such as CO2 and Ammonia is desired.Interest and desire to learn the refrigeration industry for junior-level candidates.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
