Meet the Recruiter: Joe Richie Explore Panasonic Careers Panasonic Video Our Mission: Create Technologies That Move Us Responsibilities Shift: A Shift Job Summary: The CPST Technician I utilizes’ Electrical skills to support production and the engineering team to reduce defect, increase productivity and create a safe environment. This person will react to issues on the line to identify problems, investigate and troubleshoot. Must be able recover and verify machine functionality after work is completed. CPST Technician I will learn various machines within all the business units and will work to be able to act on 60%+ of electrical problems that occur. Working closely with engineering and Maintenance team this person will provide information, data and/or support to implement countermeasures to machines. Essential Duties: Demonstrate sound problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Tests and troubleshoots electronic components and systems, repairs or orders and replaces components, rewires systems, and tests equipment prior to placing back into service. Understanding of electrical drawings, specifications, manuals and schematics and their use as a troubleshooting tool. Perform troubleshooting of PLCs such as Mitsubishi, Omron and Keyence and vision systems, equipment monitoring, and robotic vision Systems within Panasonic’s battery manufacturing processes. Competent techniques in troubleshooting and repair of Networking issues and protocols including DeviceNet, MechatroLink, EtherCat, and CC Link. Demonstrate understanding of common electrical components in the machine, example, sensors, ID readers, servo motor/drive components. Show proficiency in diagnosing issues on servo drives/motors, tuning and replacement. Demonstrate ability to rewire and upload/download parameters using the most common servo drive software across the plant including CX Drive, MR Configurator 2, and SigmaWin 7. Repairs and troubleshoots electrical motors, control panels, electrical circuits, motor controls and other associated electronic equipment Influences operators and maintenance technicians while providing guidance on repair methods Help implement plans for daily, weekly, monthly actions Maintains complete and accurate records of all work done on the equipment and machines Communicates with team members promptly and accurately. Complete pass-down of unfinished tasks to another shift accurately and informative Takes direction and can execute tasks Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications Requirements - Required and/or Preferred Education: Basic/Required: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) and/or 2 years technical training Preferred: 2-year Associates degree in electronic technology, Automation, Mechatronic or equivalent experience. Essential Qualifications: Background working in a high-volume manufacturing environment with hands on experience. Familiarity with troubleshooting electrical systems and electromechanical control systems up to 480VAC Ability to schedule work to be completed, may need to coordinate with multiple groups Can interpret mechanical and/or electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, Manuals and SOPs’ and apply this to troubleshooting effort. Basic understanding of Sysmac, Mitsubishi, Keyence, and Omron PLC software. Familiarity with PLC fundamentals as well as to work through logic for troubleshooting. Strong documentation skills Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with wiring/cabling size/terminations and load/temperature requirements.
