Summary:

The Controls Intern will support controls related projects for complete seat.  This person will work under the guidance of a controls engineer to develop and implement projects requiring controls architecture and programming. 

Summer Interns will work 40 hours per week (full-time), with a targeted start date of May 5, 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Working under the guidance of a controls engineer, the controls intern will do the following related to complete seat assembly equipment project(s)Specify controls components required for the projectDevelop schematics and drawings as requiredInstall and configure componentsDevelop or modify PLC and/or HMI programs needed for the projectAssist in startup and debugParticipate in equipment design reviews, installation and debug at local complete seat plants.Update or develop documentation related to controls standards and best practices.

Other position requirements:

Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working towards a 4-year B.S. degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering.Available to work up to 40 hours per weekMinimum overall GPA of at least 3.0.Previous internship or co-op experience in automotive related position an added plusProficient in MS OfficeStrong computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software/applicationsAnalytical problem solvingStrong communication, presentation and teamwork skills including the ability to write clear, concise technical documentation.Thinks Analytically - The ability to break down problems and gain understanding to make effective decisions.
