Job Description
Insight Global is looking for Controls System PLC Programmers to join a leading automation company. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing automation solutions in a 3 phase process. Phase 1 (Feb-April) involves designing and developing Siemens PLC software programs to fit the specific requirements of their client (mostly nuclear). In phase 2 (April-June) you will be doing the integration phase at ATS. In phase 3, the candidate will be required to travel to Germany where they will be responsible for installing (July-Nov) their designs into the machines on the shop floor. This will entail performing all testing/debugging to ensure the program runs accordingly. The successful candidate can ideally go onsite Cambridge 2 days/week for the first phase to be with the team.

Skills and Requirements
5+ years of relevant experience
Strong TIA Portal Siemens PLC programming/design experience
Integration and installation experience
Strong written and oral communication with a self starter attitude
Flexibility to travel to Germany (July-Nov)
Post secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in mechanical, electrical, systems or computer engineering Experience programming KUKA robots null
