Scope of Position:

Manufacturing support for a 24/7 operational facility along with rebuild, continuous improvement, and cost reduction projects for the Harrodsburg plant. Projects will involve software and/or electrical power solutions.

 

Day to Day Responsibilities: 

Provide electrical & controls support for the BOD (Bottom of Draw) and Mixing production processes. The position involves working with Process and Controls Engineering in the application of electrical and controls concepts to identify, design, and implement continuous improvement/cost reduction projects. Daily production support involving troubleshooting, problem solving, and working with the equipment/maintenance organization will be required. Actively participate in all phases of the project including design, fabrication, off-line integration and testing, installation, production start-up support, training of plant personnel, and technology transfer. Individual must be capable of executing project assignments, in a team-based environment, with minimal supervision.

 

Required Education/Experience

Required Education: Electrical Engineering Technology (AAS) 3+ Years of Experience Methodical troubleshooting skills on dynamic automation and motion control equipment following basic scientific methods. Trained in electrical troubleshooting techniques at the component level, to include safe practices, testing equipment, and personal protection equipment. Capable of independently supporting daily manufacturing operations, while receiving and attending to minor projects on said equipment. PLC, HMI, Motion, and Industrial Robot – Programming and configuration knowledge

 

Desired Skills:

Programming/configuration knowledge and experience – Rockwell, Mitsubishi, FANUC Robots, OSI Pi, iFIX(Proficy), Proface, and PILZ Controls/Electrical Experience in Manufacturing Broad skill set (first principal design to implementation/installation) Working knowledge of 480V and below 3 phase power systems including National Codes (NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, etc.) Knowledgeable of electrical design and machine standards (NFPA, NEC, ANSI RIA R15.06, etc.) Experience working in a union facility.

 

Hours of work/work schedule/flextime:

8 AM– 5 PM / 24-hour production support Weekend team (periodic) & project team production coverage

The range for this position is  $56,926.00   -  $78,273.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
