Associates degree or equivalent experience and 5-7 years of related experienceUnderstanding of Ethernet networks, IP addressing, wiring, and cable patchingDetailed understanding of PLC's is required: PLC5SLC500, Compact/Contrologix.Strong ability to utilize Factory TalkView Studio, RSLogix500, Studio 500 Professional, and Panel View 32Ability to read/understand blueprints and schematicsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volumeExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to comply with all general safety policies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State, and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulationsAbility to obtain a valid forklift licenseMust be able to lift ninety (90)Responsibilities:Responsible for performing design and maintenance of control networks, ladder logic programming, and plant softwareMaintains calibration of measuring instrumentation, electrical, and mechanical equipmentPerforms calibration and maintains electronic measuring, instrumentation recording, and indicating instruments electrical mechanical equipmentMaintains detailed mapping of Ethernet networks including IP addresses, wiring switches, and cable patchingManages revision control PLC Logic including PLC5, SLC500, and Compact/Contrologix. Utilizes Factory Talk View Studio, RSLogix500, Studio 500 Professional, and Panel View 32 to maintain and optimize controls systems throughout the plantEnsures system integration of Information Technology (IT) systems with Operations Technology (OT) systems function on daily basisOptimizes plant processes by editing and/or writing ladder logic programming for a variety of systemsPerforms standard to more complex repairs and is responsible to receive adjust and install new plant equipment ensuring the proper electrical performance; operate a variety of power hand and shop tools as requiredResponsible for the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective actionReads and interprets schematic drawings and diagrams required to perform maintenance on or install plant equipmentPerforms advanced electrician duties including, but not limited to, using a voltage meter to check high and low voltage reading on equipment, checking for open circuits for line voltage, troubleshooting frequency, drives for proper operation understanding all aspects of an electrical schematic and troubleshooting/replacing I/O modules in a PLCParticipates in and successfully completes training directed at increasing job-related trade skills as mandated by management/supervisorPerforms all duties in accordance with USDA, company policy, and established procedures and maintains clean work areaPerforms PM's inspections and verifications on all control componentsPerforms frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications, uploads and downloads PLC Programs and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes into equipment, sets up network communications, and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet protocolsThe use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber bootsThe employing subsidiaries of Schwan's Company are Equal Employment Opportunity Employers.
