Job Title: Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support the scale-up of our new building operations. As we transition to a 7-day-a-week schedule, we need to increase production efficiency. The Controls Engineer will be essential in monitoring and addressing product issues, ensuring operational efficiency.

ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, program, test, and repair programmable logic equipment and associated peripheralsMake changes to existing control logic and operator interface programsAssist in the implementation of new control systemsInstall and configure programming terminalsMaintain data structure of terminals used to monitor programs and operate machineryInstall, test, and repair electrical controls componentsTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions and apply knowledge of functional operation of machinery and electrical control units and systemsAssist maintenance in identifying defective components and wiring, and adjusting mechanical partsAlign, adjust, and calibrate control componentsMaintain records of repairs, calibrations, and testsPerform programming and troubleshooting of controllersRead schematics and OEM specifications to program, configure, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipmentPerform additional duties as assignedEssential SkillsPLC programmingControls engineeringExperience with FactoryTalkExpertise with complex systems such as RS View and RS Logic 5000Experience with Allen-Bradley and Rockwell Automation componentsAbility to design and program the function of automated equipmentProficient with MS OfficeStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)Additional Skills & Qualifications1 to 5 years of experienceExperience with robots, particularly Fanuc (training provided but ability to reteach a robot's pick and place position is preferred)
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.17
