As a Controls Technician II, you will be working as a member of the CEG Controls Team to provide electrical controls and programming support for manufacturing operations throughout the Marvin family of brands. You will find yourself working closely with manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and facility personnel to design, implement and support advanced manufacturing automation technologies.
Highlights of your role Design and implement PLC programming to develop the sequence of operation for manufacturing equipment.Provide technical expertise of electrical controls and programming related technologiesMaintain controls component installation base list, and develop a plan to mitigate risk of outdated or obsolete componentsAssemble electrical controls panels according to electrical schematics, control diagrams, and applicable standardsDeliver project assignments on-timeSuccessfully support projects through completion, either independently or within a teamProvide excellent customer service to support manufacturing equipment and assist with trainingApply proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of best practices to support controls teamDesign and maintain PLC programming and control system guidelinesMentor new technicians to follow best practices consistent within the organization You're a good fit if you have (or if you can) Field-related 2-year degree required3-5 years’ experience programming PLCs and supporting manufacturing control systemsProficient at programming in ladder logic, function block and object-oriented languagesAbility to read electrical control schematics and documentationAbility to use and read electrical test instrumentsWillingness and ability to remain current on changes in the development industry through continuing educational activitiesAbility to travel as needed We invite you to See Yourself at MarvinFrom people to products, Marvin is committed to creating better ways of living.
