Conversation partner will spend 2 hours a week leading conversation and organizing guided language activities for the first-year students of Russian at the Language Tables.

The conversation partner should be able to attend the Language tables at Redfield Proctor at least twice a week (12:40-1:30 pm, M-F) throughout the Spring semester, excluding the week of Spring break.

Responsibilities include:

​​Facilitate level-appropriate discussions in Russian, focusing on engaging all attending first-year students;  ​Prepare level-appropriate conversation topics, questions, games, etc.;  ​Teach the first-year students context- and level-appropriate vocabulary (e.g. food, etiquette norms, other topics related to the course material); ​Coordinate activities and conversation topics with the Russian department faculty teaching RUSS0103;   ​Occasionally assist the waiters with the translation of the menu items  ​If no first-year students are present, assist the Russian TA with leading discussion for students of higher levels of language proficiency. ​
