Converting Lead Operator

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

Collect samples and accurately complete all necessary documentation for changeovers and quality checks; performs changeovers Clean and ensure decks are in proper working condition and shut down equipment properly, as necessary Accurately navigate and input information in a production management system Clean plates and return to pre-press area Clean, return and correctly store cylinders and properly labeled ink Coordinate and execute press cleaning per the press cleaning sign-off sheet and turn documentation into the supervisor Support the operator training program & trainer and participate in operator training activities, development & mentoring Share best practices with operators related to roll changes, rolling Teflon, press cleaning and job changes Advance operator safety, quality and technical knowledge, skills and abilities Identify, coordinate, execute & participate in productivity improvement initiatives: scrap reduction/output increases Assists operators with troubleshooting and performs operator duties when necessary Ensure proper packaging and labeling of product Maintains housekeeping and cleanliness to standard Complete daily production reporting and standard work requirements Diagnoses and completes repairs of intermediate difficulty; communicates status of machines to appropriate personnel Other duties as assigned by supervisor \n

Candidate Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Demonstrated mechanical ability preferred Basic computer skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred Ability to work 12-hour day and night rotating shifts Ability to work diplomatically and civilly with all team members Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management Must have an excellent safety and attendance record, job consistency, positive attitude, and a commitment to quality, respectful communication and team building. \n
