As a Conveyancer, your duties include:Administering residential sales, purchase, mortgage files, handling all tasks from initial file opening through to final reporting and file closing.Attending to the registration of documents and security in land title offices and other government registries.Communicating, both through direct phone and email correspondence, with clients, financial institutions, legal assistants, paralegals, lawyers, brokers. Assisting firm members on project closings, including preparing closing documents, drafting letters, scanning documents and other tasks as required. Completing any other administrative duties as requested. Qualifications:Graduate of a Legal Assistant certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution is an asset1-2 years’ experience of related legal assistant or conveyancing experience involving all aspects of residential real estate transactions.Strong document production skills and a solid proficiency in standard industry related applications including MS Word/Excel, Outlook, BC Online, MyLTSA.Ability to independently administer a residential real estate transaction file from beginning to end.Accountability, organizational skills and attention to detail, willingness to take on tasks as needed and ability to work as a team are essential.Experience in assisting on project closings is beneficial but not required.
