Purpose of Your Job Position To prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures and as may be directed by the Food Services Director or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times. To direct, evaluate and monitor the staff assigned to your department, including issuing disciplinary actions as necessary and performing probationary and annual evaluations of employee performance. Self Evaluation Competency Testing Needed Date Competency Completed 90 day Evaluation Annual Evaluation Administrative Functions – Total Weight 5% 1 2 3 4 5 Review menus prior to preparation of food Inspect special diet trays to assure that correct diet is served to residents Interpret department policies and procedures to personnel, residents, visitors, family members, etc., as needed and appropriate Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Food Services Director as required Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary Work with the facility’s dietician as necessary and implement recommended changes as required Assist in developing methods for determining quality and quantity food served. Assist in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished Assist in establishing food service production lines to assure that meals are prepared on time Ensure that menus are maintained and filed in accordance with established policies and procedures Understand and complies with Corporate Compliance plan A Total all points given for either column 4 or 5 B Put total number of job duties evaluated from above in columns 4 or 5 Committee Functions – Total Weight = 5% 1 2 3 4 5 Participate in Quality Assurance programs, and any facility committee or programs, which seek to improve the performance and accuracy of resident care.
