**Job Summary Details:**
ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a Cook.
This position is responsible for the preparation of food served in all areas of the hospital and oversees patient tray assembly, café, and catering food service. Also follows industry food handling standards when completing operational duties/tasks.
**Schedule: Full Time, Including Weekends**
**Pay Rate:** $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

**Basic Qualifications and Requirements:**
+ Must be 18 years of age or older
+ Completion of food preparation and sanitation training or certification is required.
+ A resume must be submitted with the application

**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals in accordance with physician-directed dietary plans, including specialized diets for patients with food allergies and eating disorders.
+ Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and allergy-prevention protocols to ensure patient safety.
+ Collaborate with dietary staff and healthcare professionals to accommodate individual dietary needs and restrictions.
+ Accurately label and handle ingredients to prevent cross-contamination, especially for allergen-sensitive meals.
+ Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and food prep area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
+ Monitor portion sizes and food presentation to support therapeutic meal plans and promote a healthy eating environment.
+ Participate in ongoing training related to food allergies, disordered eating, and behavioral health nutrition.
+ Document food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and meal service records in accordance with hospital standards.
+ Communicate effectively with staff regarding patient needs, menu changes, and safety concerns.
