**Overview**
SOSi is seeking a Cook for a potential contract located on Camp Taji, Iraq.
**Essential Job Duties**
+ Meets or exceeds industry and food safety standards for preparation, storage, and serving of food.
+ Prepares, seasons, and cooks meals in accordance with standardized recipes.
+ Follows daily production schedules and progressively cook food in batches according to schedule.
+ Carves and trims meats such as beef, veal, ham, pork, and lamb for recipes.
+ Records food temperatures, production, and waste on required documentation.
+ Ensures high standards of personal hygiene and that work areas are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition.
+ Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
**Minimum Requirements**
+ High School Diploma or equivalent.
+ Minimum one (1) year of experience in full service or institutional food service environment.
+ Excellent English communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and other personnel.
+ Knowledge of food service and sanitation standards.
+ Excellent knife skills for food preparation.
+ Ability to consistently arrive punctually and contribute to positive dining atmosphere.
+ Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
**Work Environment**
+ Willingness to live and work under environmental and other conditions that may be uncomfortable at times.
+ Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions.
+ Requires periods of non-traditional hours including consecutive nights or weekends when necessary.
+ May require ability to lift/and or move objects or packages of up to 25 lbs.
