We are seeking a COOK in Rhinelander, Wisconsin at Aspirus Rhinelander Hospital to prepare soups, sauces, gravies, entrees, baked goods, and other menu items under the direction of the Food Service Supervisor. This position emphasizes "from scratch" cooking. You will be responsible for utilizing standard kitchen equipment, cleaning your workstation and maintain the quality of the food served.
Experience/Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent. Previous kitchen cooking experience, in Hospital, institutional, or restaurant cooking preferred.Be flexible an accommodating to resident diet preferences or restrictionsServe Safe Food Safety Course or complete within 6 month of hire.Skills:
Prepare a wide range of high quality meals for patients and customersSound knowledge of cooking methods and techniquesAbility to understand and follow written and oral instructionsThe ability to follow recipesThe ability to work in a team atmosphereEffective Communication skillsHours: Part Time, 0.6 FTE, varied shifts, holiday/weekend rotation. 48 hours per pay period.
