Responsibilities Your Main Responsibilities Working with our Food Service Manager, you will prepare large quantities of meats, fish, gravies, cereals, soups, and vegetables. What we expect from you: Prepare food according to the menu plan. Manage inventory (place and receive orders for food and supplies). Ensure food quality and schedule preparations. Guide and train employees. Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety. Train inmate/detainee food service workers and inspect their work. Qualifications Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent certification required. College credits or relevant technical training courses in food service preparation and cooking preferred. Prior cooking and correctional food service training preferred. Minimum two (2) years prior experience in successfully managing and/or quantity food production experience in commercial, military, or institutional setting or an equivalent combination of work experience and training required. Must be able to communicate to all personnel the minimum production/service requirements of the job. Physical Requirements Continuously: Lift or carry up to 10 lbs.; stand. Frequently: Lift or carry up to 20 lbs. and push/pull up to 40 lbs.; bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, walk, and work with machinery and/or in extreme temperatures. Occasionally: Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); climb and sit. GEO Reentry Services LLC.
