The Cook role prepare appetizing meals for patient tray service and guests in the cafeteria. Oversees kitchen operations in the absence of Nutrition Services Manager/Supervisor.
Work Schedule: Casual, 0.0FTE 4 to 5 day- night shifts and every other weekend. This position may work up to a .75FTE to cover a leave of absence then, casual thereafter.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 1 year cooking experience in hospital or nursing home setting or equivalent experience Knowledge of modified recipes for special diets Ability to read, write and follow oral instructions Basic cooking skills Ability to be on feet 8 hours per day Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent, prior equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of diploma
