The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International!As a Cook for Cucina Del Mercato, you'll be at the heart of our quick-service Italian market stalls, applying your culinary expertise to deliver fast and delicious meals for our guests. Your role is essential in ensuring our customers enjoy authentic Italian flavors with swift and efficient service.THE JOB:As a Cook, you will create exceptional guest experiences by providing high-quality food, applying culinary techniques, and collaborating with front-of-house staff.  Your responsibilities include operating kitchen equipment safely, replenishing supplies, labeling and dating products, ensuring excellent plate presentation, supporting the kitchen team, preparing base sauces, stocks, and soups, and addressing guest needs.THE STARTING RATE:  $17.00 / Per HourTHE DAY-TO-DAY:Possess thorough knowledge of food products and adeptly apply culinary techniquesRecognize and safely operate kitchen equipmentReplenish kitchen supplies and necessary food items for serviceAccurately label and date products for proper storage and sanitationDemonstrate strong menu comprehension and meticulous attention to plate presentationSupport kitchen leadership and team members during serviceExhibit proficiency in preparing base sauces, stocks, and soupsCollaborate effectively within a team environment, addressing all guest needs and inquiriesRestaurant Details:Hours of Operation:Sunday - Thursday:  7:00 AM – 11:00 PMFriday - Saturday:  7:00 AM - 2:00 AM(May work before/after these times for opening and closing procedures)WHAT YOU’LL NEED:18 years of age or olderHigh school diploma, GED or educational equivalentMust currently hold or be able to obtain a Food Handlers cardMust be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:Two (2) years of relevant experience in a similar resort settingOne (1) year of prior cooking experience in conventions and banquets or a similar high-volume settingKnowledge of knives and knife skills, standard kitchen equipment and supplies, including, but not limited to toasters, refrigerators, coolers, slicers, beverage machines, Cryovac machine and smallwaresMaintains professionalism, can multi-task and describes themself as detail orientedTakes pride in their work, provides a safe environment, and maintains health standardsLooks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiencesTHE PERKS & BENEFITS:Free meals in our Park MGM employee dining roomFree parking on and off-shift at all MGM Resorts propertiesHealth & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)Professional and personal development opportunities through employee programs and network groupsWellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentallyAccess to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discountsAre you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
