What you’ll do:
Our Dietary Department provides high quality and attractive meals, which meet the nutritional needs of the residents in our facility while establishing and following special therapeutic diets as ordered by the physician. We are committed to providing a friendly, professional, clean atmosphere focused on offering quality food products prepared in a safe and sanitary environment. The meals will meet nutritional standards set forth by the USDA and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Ensure HACCP principles are applied to all food received and prepared in the facility.
Cooks delicious meals for up to 150 people. Able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals. Maintain accurate production records in a timely manner. Responsible for all aspects of the daily function of the kitchen (cooking, dishes, cleaning, serving)To be considered, you should:
Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect. Have a desire to work with at-risk youth. Have a high school diploma or equivalent or equivalent. Minimum of one-year of experience in meal preparation in a school or institutional setting. Must possess a current unrestricted Virginia Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years. Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.The Perks:
