Summary:

In accordance with department policies and procedures, the cook is responsible for the preparation and serving of high-quality food in a timely, efficient, sanitary and consistent manner; operating and cleaning kitchen equipment; and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas.

Pay:

$13.50 per hour

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares, cooks and serves food in accordance with established policies and procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. Complies with food safety standards and guidelines during all phases of food handling. Adheres to portion control by using standardized recipes and proper utensils for measurement. Completes all required documentation including but not limited to food and equipment temperature logs. Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment, and returns to proper storage areas as requested. Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks as assigned. Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures; reports needed maintenance and faulty equipment to supervisor immediately. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Licensure, Education & Experience

Highschool Diploma/ GED Previous food preparation experience preferred. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to operate kitchen equipment preferred. Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire
