Department: Ladore - Food Service

Availability of Position: Immediate

Schedule: 40 hours a week; Nights and weekends a must

Reporting Relationship: Ladore Catering Manager

Grade: Non-Exempt, 73

 Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Ladore Catering Manager, be able to prepare meals for groups of 20-200.

Responsibilities

Duties:       

Perform food service responsibilities as directed by the Ladore Catering ManagerMaintain food safety standards as prescribe by ServSafeOperate equipment safely and properlyMaintain neat and uniform appearance at all timesPrepare and cook meals for groups in houseKeep food prep and cooking areas neat and cleanOther related duties assigned by the Ladore Catering Manager Qualifications

Requirements:

High School Diploma or GEDBe able to lift at least 50 poundsMust pass a ServSafe class which will be offered by the Salvation ArmyAbility to handle a high paced and often intense work environmentMust be good with peopleFood service experience with large groupsAbility to be on one’s feet for hours at a timeChild Protection Clearances PA Act 153 requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks prior to employment: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check and FBI Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. Meets the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153 along with renewals every five years.Must have an understanding of and appreciation for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
