The Cook p rovides nutritionally appropriate and delicious meals that meet USDA standards for the Bronx NSP, placement program for adjudicated youth. Responsibilities + Prepares all meals in accordance with nutritional plans for the consumers + Plans menus, prepares weekly grocery shopping lists along with needed supplies for personal hygiene and housekeeping. + Engages youth in food preparation as appropriate. + Serves, cleans, and sanitizes food preparation and serving areas. + Maintains cleanliness of all food storage areas. Ensures all food is stored and marked correctly. + Completes a weekly safety/operational check of all appliances and kitchen. + Removes all garbage to outside cans daily. + Reports all unsafe conditions. + Reports all incidents and any untoward actions to the consumers immediately. + Weekend and evening shifts. + Other duties as assigned.
