Job Description Cooking School Instructor SUMMARY The instructor will be instrumental in guiding students through the fundamentals of themed cooking classes, techniques, and farm friendly cooking. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS + Design and implement a curriculum, tailored to the diverse needs and interests of students. + Conduct interactive cooking sessions, emphasizing meal planning, nutrition, and safe cooking practices. + Create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment that nurtures students' culinary interests. + Ensure all cooking equipment and materials are properly set up, maintained, and safely stored. + Develop and deliver an engaging, educational cooking programming QUALIFICATIONS + Experience with private events and team building activities + Culinary expertise with knowledge of a wide variety of cooking styles + Excellent verbal and written communication skills required + Strong collaborative skills, openness to feedback, and adaptability in teaching methods. + Efficient time management, task prioritization, and adherence to deadlines. + Extensive knowledge in cooking, including meal planning, nutrition, cooking techniques, and food safety + Experience building, training, coaching, and leading a strong kitchen team + ServSafe Certificate a plus PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks. Must be physically able to lift and carry heavy trays and equipment as well as delicate china and glassware, up to 50 lbs. Also, you must be physically able to walk without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time.
