We are looking for a dedicated Coord Cardiovascular Clinics like you to be a part of our team. **Job Summary and Qualifications** **Position Summary:** The Cardiovascular Clinics Coordinator functions as an assistant to the Coordinator of Diagnostics and performs duties as assigned under the direction of a Licensed Nurse. **Specific Elements and Essential Function:** **Health Information Technology/ Meaningful Use/Efficiency and Productivity Coordinator** + Proficient in Meditech, GHX, Lawson, SMART, Merge + HPG Department Super User + Kronos Editor + Assist with Excel, Access and Word databases, queries and runs reports as requested for management, physicians and staff. + Enter Meditech statistics to track utilization and volume. + Work with Director of Health Information Services, office staff and physicians to assure complete patient records. **Communication and Scheduling Specialist** + Schedule all appointments and coordinate with multiple departments including registration, bed management, physician office and vendors as required. + Preauthorize patients as needed for procedures being scheduled within the clinics. + Coordinate and distribute physician call schedules and physician vacation schedules. **Safety** + Responsible for preventative maintenance scheduling and PO creation. + Initiate all work orders for facilities, Biomed and IS department. + Infection Control Auditor for the Infection Control Department. + Contact for the Environmental Safety Department audits. Initiate follow up measures as needed. **Unit Facilitator** + Order all office supplies, documents and preprinted forms. Physician’s office support and resource regarding updates in the clinic, procedures being scheduled, and required documentation. + Cardiovascular Clinics point person for first Patient Contact and Service Recovery. + Work in tandem with Diagnostics Clinical Coordinator to maintain daily logistical flow and troubleshoot obstacles to accommodate patients and staff. + Certification in BLS. + Perform EKGs, Holters, and other tests as required. **Requirements** + Maintain a positive attitude and calm demeanor in high stress and time sensitive situations. + Able to multitask and anticipate the needs of the clinic, physicians and staff to provide quality patient care. + Able to prioritize tasks in often dynamic situations. + Maintain a general understanding of invasive and non-invasive cardiology procedures as well as invasive peripheral vascular procedures.
