Overview:


We are looking for an experienced Data Loss Protection Officer to join the BT Risk and Security team in the Business Technology (BT) organization. The Data Loss Protection Officer will be responsible for designing strategies to improve the management of sensitive information, educating company’s employees about data compliance, and managing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) DLP capabilities, rules and events, byclassifying,prioritizing, escalating, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented. This role reports to the Director, Risk and Security Business Partner in the BT Risk and Security organization.


Essential Functions:

 

Be an active participant in the definition of BT Risk and Security Strategy and global initiatives, with the objective of continuously increase the maturity of the global security practices, risk management, data protection controls, and operations. Develop data protection roadmaps and implementation plans to achieve strategic goals (high value assets protection, data classification, data loss prevention). Work in close cooperation with Business Technology Partners (BTPs) to ensure data protection requirements and security controls are embedded since the planning phase for digital transformation and product roadmaps. Provide expert advice and educate employees on important data compliance requirements. Build and maintain strong and positive working relationships and effective means of communication with business stakeholders, including Legal, HR, Ethics and Compliance, Finance, Industrial Operations, Business Data Owners, Shared Service Center leads, Value Chain leaders, and others. Promote a culture of data protection and compliance across all units of the organization. Manage and perform monitoring of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) systems, rules, events and incidents. Respond to the events that the tool generates. Assess the potential business impact of the DLP events and perform escalation of relevant events to Business Data Owners. The DLP solution includes Endpoint DLP, Network DLP, Discovery, and Cloud DLP. Continuously monitor and refine DLP rules and policies. Draft new and amend existing internal data classification and protection guidelines and procedures, in consultation with key stakeholders. Ensure that all policies and initiatives are in compliance with privacy and data protection regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and LGPD (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais). Identify threats, establish protection goals, objectives, and metrics consistent with Information Security program. Proactively discuss with CISO and peers for continuous improvement of Bunge's Information Security Program. Keep up to date with emerging threats, security control environment and potential impacts on the business functions.  Manage BTRS staff, by recruiting, onboarding, training, and providing day-to-day guidance.  Periodically discuss team performance and provide feedback, enabling individuals for successful progression in their careers within the company. Deep understanding of Bunge mission, vision, and key business priorities Influence, motivate, and enable others to contribute to the organization's success. Ensure projects are on time and in alignment with business priorities. Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive  resolution

 

Requirements

 

Bachelors' degree required; Masters' degree preferred. 8+ years of experience formulating information cyber security strategies, managing technology risks, translating business requirements into technical security requirements. 3+ years of experience in data protection compliance or related field. Ability to work effectively under pressure and to manage sensitive and confidential information. Expertise in data protection laws and practices, including deep understanding of GDPR and other =privacy regulations.  Strong project management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail. Strong technical writing skills using Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and other =documentation tools. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technical certificates or certifications that are relevant to the role, including CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA (optional but preferred
