Job Description
The position is responsible to perform inventory control functions within the warehouse. Following the Cycle Count Program in addition to auditing, supporting and movement of inventories. The desired candidate will need to review daily to weekly reports to manage inventory integrity across multiple systematic storage locations. This role also acts as liaison between QA, Business Groups, Outbound and Inbound staff to coordinate all physical and system inventory transactions that pertain to regulatory issues, WMi Item Master updates, shortages, replenishments, slotting, location type availability and size to improve efficiencies while continuing to maintain Inventory Integrity.
Job Duties Accurately performs all processes related to the flow of inventory throughout transfers, work orders, kitting, cycle counts, etc. Perform data entry, identify variances, issue re-counts, analyze results, investigate unresolved variances and review discrepancies with Operations Coordinator. Notify Supervisor/Manager of inventory discrepancies (i.e., picking errors, inventory shortages). Follow all standard operating procedures. Participates in internal and external audits. Monitor Warehouse Non-Compliant listing and exceptions for Trade in Returns. Perform RA/QA quality movements/holds which include verifying, segregating and returning stock where applicable. Ensures that inventory is stored in appropriate product status/SLOC. Process Return to Vendor and Destruction orders as requested. Work with Operations Coordinator to resolve shortage, replenishment and put away issues. Makes recommendations to Management for improvements. Participates in process flow evaluation and improvements as needed to ensure inventory slotting is optimal in creating the most efficient flow throughout the operation. Provide support for identifying & implementing such improvements. Performs other related duties as assigned. Job QualificationsRequired:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of two years’ experience in warehousing/distribution with emphasis on Inventory Control preferred, or equivalent knowledge. Mandatory overtime hours required when necessary to support the business needs. The ability to lift 50lbs. The ability to operate material handling equipment.
Preferred:
Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight time schedules and pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality. Working knowledge and understanding of WMi and SAP systems with the ability to learn and adapt to a new system as applicable. Skilled in MS Excel, Showcase reporting and review. Excellent organizational and follow-through skills. Must have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills with focus on teamwork and rapid problem resolution. Analytical Skills, Problem Solving, Mathematical Skills, Organizational Skills. Proficient knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office, other software PC skills a plus.Why join Olympus?
