Adult Outpatient Programs provide the least restrictive level of care where adults may receive clinical interventions aimed at decreasing existing signs and symptoms. Outpatient treatment focuses on recovery, problem resolution, symptom reduction, stabilization and/or prevention of movement to a higher level of care. Treatment varies widely and depends upon the consumer’s presenting symptoms.

Supervises Operations:
Ensures that all aspects of programs under direct and indirect supervision are conducted in accordance with State, Medicaid, Joint Commission, Medicare, CCBHC and all other standards associated with the organization.Writes program narratives, contracts, procedures and grants in a timely manner, as applicableEstablishes program goals and objectives that support the organization’s strategic planLeads the program planning, development and implementation and assures that program standards and objectives are met, directs and organizes program activitiesIdentifies problems, evaluates alternatives and implements effective solutionsAssures program adheres to all CCBHC criteria and implements within programsMonitors program budgets and strives contain expenses and increase revenueEnsures programs are running efficiently and communicates information to staff regarding policies, procedures, and changes within the company and governing agenciesInteracts effectively with Providers and clinic staff as neededMonitors caseloads of staff to ensure appropriateness and timeliness of closures if appropriateMonitors productivity of staff and ensures all staff meet required productivity standards and/or are meeting no less than 85% of the requirement on a regular basisProvides training and education for staff to ensure competency in treatment and medical necessity is metRegularly monitors the documentation of staff to ensure adherence to all governing standards of the organization by completing audits and following up to ensure corrections are completedConducts staffing’s regularly; interacts with staff frequentlyMonitors treatment plan review reports and oversees the completion of reviews in a timely manner by staffApproves Treatment plans for therapistsProvides staff coverage for crisis intervention, demonstrates ability to recognize and deescalate crisis and provide intervention in absence of available staff.Effectively collaborates with other Alta Pointe program coordinators and outside sources, adheres to transfer policy/protocol.Administers appropriate personnel functions:
Interviews and screens applicants when necessary and completes appropriate forms as outlined by Personnel Policy and ProceduresProvides training in the general orientation of the facility, policies and procedures, program operations and specific skill areasCompletes APIVerifies mileage reimbursements are valid and supporting documentation presentIs knowledgeable and applies personnel policies and procedures on a consistent basisObjectively completes employee performance evaluations on supervised staff and routes to Personnel Department on a timely basisPromotes concept of treatment teams and acts as a member of the treatment teamProvides positive and effective leadershipProvides staff with consultation and supervision as needed, ensuring competenceMonitors staff work activities to ensure that they are performing all duties as assigned.Supervision and Consultation:

Master’s degree in a mental health discipline with at least two years post-Master’s experience.
Licensure – LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, preferred.
Knowledge in adult specialty, outlined below, to be attained within six (6) months of employment.
Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse issues, developments and trends in the adult population and rehabilitation principlesKnowledge of CCBHCKnowledge of available community resourcesKnowledge of cultural diversityKnowledge of behavior management, crisis intervention and interventions common to acute psychotic consumers, as well as, to non-violent crisis intervention practiceKnowledge of evidence based, research based, and text book based treatment practices and the ability to shape treatment to conform to this researchKnowledge of programs within AHS and referral processesKnowledge of assessment tools and practices in both MI and SA areas
