Purpose of Role

The Benefits Coordinator will provide administrative support for the business while supporting the greater Total Rewards team. The HR Benefits Coordinator works closely with HR partners and will play an important role in ensuring a positive internal teammate experience.  

Your Impact Act as initial point of contact for all Benefits Team inbox related questions and direct teammates to appropriate resource(s) as needed. Resolve teammate concerns with benefit enrollments. COBRA coordination; continuation of benefits after separation. Provide ongoing support for HR Generalist and HR Business Partners on benefit related concerns.  Assist with team related communications, like monthly email UAWELL newsletters.  Coordinate and lead Pre-Season Benefits trainings for new teammates, including 90-day follow up sessions.  Oversee service award process; run HRIS reporting, order awards through appropriate vendors and communicate with teammates. Provide administrative support with running audits and reconciling benefit payroll deductions.  Primary contact for all vendor invoicing, partner with internal AP as needed to process payments accordingly.  Assist with annual Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) creation, manage BPOs throughout the year. Assist in scheduling vendor calls with all needed internal stakeholders. Assist teammates preparing for their Leaves of Absence (LOA) and ensuring LOA data integrity within vendor and HRIS System.  Plan and support on-site teammate engagement activities, including but not limited to vaccination clinics, annual health fair and annual Open Enrollment.  Ensure compliance and distribution of required benefit notices. Maintains high-level of confidentiality as appropriate. Qualifications Typically requires 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience with a high school diploma. Previous experience working in Benefits and in HRIS systems preferred Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds. Ultimate team player, builds strong relationships Effective in a matrix environment, with the ability to prioritize work-load with multiple cross-functional partners Ability to work well independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. MS Office proficiency is required – advanced knowledge of Excel a plus Internet software and database software required Ability to reply promptly to teammate needs; solicit teammate feedback to improve service; respond to requests for service and assistance; meets commitments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 

 

Workplace Location Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office. Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.  Relocation No relocation provided

 

Base Compensation

 $23.37 - $32.13 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position. UA is committed to helping our teammates succeed and advance in their careers. Base salary is only one component of our competitive Total Rewards package.
