About Win - Women in Need
Win is dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness by providing transitional and
supportive shelters for women-led families. Many of our families have escaped domestic
violence and strive to keep their families together and safe. Win’s Income Building Program supports our clients by facilitating their transition from unemployment to employment and helping those already employed to improve their circumstances. This includes increasing wages, moving from part-time to full-time work, securing health benefits, and transitioning from off-the-books to on-the-books positions. Additionally, Win offers financial literacy workshops to equip our clients with essential skills such as budgeting, bill paying, and
basic fiscal management. Win’s current operating budget is approximately $150 million, with $14 million raised privately through private and corporate funding, supporting programs and services including the Income Building Program and Camp Win.
Purpose of this position:
The Development, Gift Processing & Research Coordinator is responsible for processing donations to Win into our CRM database (Salesforce) in an accurate and timely manner. Reporting to the Director, Development Operations, the position assists in maintaining data hygiene and ad-hoc reporting. This individual will also manage processes around prospect research to help maintain a healthy pipeline of donors to help fund Win’s mission.
Key Accountabilities
Gift Processing:
Enter gifts of cash, checks, stock, credit card charges, wire transfer, and in-kind donations into Salesforce fundraising database in a timely manner. Manage gift staging process and update gifts accurately with input from fundraisers and/or FinanceProduce customized tax acknowledgment and correspondence in response to gifts received.Interact with the Finance Department for deposits and gifts trackingAssist Director, Development Operations with reconciling income for Corps & Foundations, Gala and Impact PartyTrack expenses by category and produce check/ACH requests for payment. Follow up with finance that all payment to vendors are made in a timely fashion.Prepare materials for annual audits as needed
Research:
Utilize research database (iWave/Kindsight) to screen Annual Appeal donors in a timely mannerIdentify and flag potential donors for Major Giving and/or Corporate/Foundation Giving and help maintain healthy pipeline of high-dollar donorsWrite profiles, bios, and wealth summaries of prospects + Board members/partners
Data Driven Approach:
Creates and manages CRM training documentationManage data integrity in CRM by detecting and correcting errors and duplications
Events and Collaboration:
Respond to inquiries in donor outreach mailboxAttend evening and weekend events as needed.
Essential Functions:
Represent Win’s mission and programs to external parties by building and maintaining strong organizational knowledge.Perform other related duties as assigned.Must be able to sit at a computer for a majority of the work day.Must use public transportation to travel to Win sites and other related meetings and eventsQualifications:
Commitment to Win’s mission, vision, and values.BA or 1-2 years of experience with CRM’s.Proven organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and produce high quality results quickly and on time.Take initiative and be creative in developing and maintaining sources of support.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required.Proficiency in Microsoft Office including spreadsheets and presentation applications.Knowledge of fundraising software (salesforce) is a plus.Core Competencies
