How You'll Help Us Connect the World:

 

Ensure adherence to EHS compliance, improvement programs and systems for the site. Participate in EHS program planning & activities. Update & maintain EHS reports, tasks & regulatory compliance in Entropy software. Provide training for workers and visitors on various EHS topics including safety induction. Coordinate EHS Inspections, Audits, Meetings, Trainings, etc. Suggest ideas for improvement of EHS culture & system at the site.

 

Participate in Safety Culture & Leadership, Ergonomic Improvement, Machine Safeguarding, Warehouse & PIV Safety, Risk & Compliance programs of Safety Excellence Roadmap. Participate in L1, L2 & L3 meetings, as required.

 

Participate in sustenance of EHS management system, ISO 14001 & 18001 standards, Business Continuity Planning.

Behavioral Observation Process (BOP) Sustenance - facilitate and maintain the records. Conduct & circulate weekly Safety Toolbox Talks. Conduct & coordinate Operation Readiness Review (ORR) of new processes/ equipment.

 

Conduct monthly EHS workplace inspection (WPI) & prepare report using Entropy. Conduct Risk Assessment and Aspect Assessment with respect to process and equipment in his BU. Conduct trainings for workers and visitors on safety induction & orientation apart from other EHS trainings.

Coordinate EHS Employee Engagement, Promotional Activities, Health & Wellness programs. Coordinate for monthly Safety Committee Meetings. Coordinating ETP, Environmental & Sustainability activities. Inspect and monitor project site activities and ensure compliance with Work Permit System.

 

Facilitate EHS improvement through Kaizen/PIP/ Employees Engagement Activities Facilitate EHS Training program which includes – Training need identification, Coordination & delivering of safety trainings.

Management of Injury and illness. Prepare and circulate weekly pending Entropy actions status report and track closure. Reporting and investigation of near miss and incidents. Compliance of Corrective and Preventive Action. Review of Onsite Emergency Response Plan and conduct Fire & Mock drills.

 

Provide administrative support during statutory, certification, customer, corporate or any third-party audits. Train employees on use of Entropy software for reporting EHS related information. Upkeep of work area to improve 5S standards.

The role will involve working in rotational shifts

 

Required Qualifications for Consideration:

Diploma in Engineering or B.Sc. (Chemistry) with at preferably 3-4 years of experience in EHS role in a factory or Bachelors in engineering (B.E.) with preferably 1-2 years of experience in EHS role in a factory. Working knowledge of statutory requirements with regards to Inspectorate of Factories & Pollution Control Board. Working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Understanding of Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment. Well verse with PDCA cycle. Should possess good leadership qualities & interpersonal skills. Should possess qualities of a good trainer. Should be competent to handle emergencies occurring inside the factory.

 

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

Preference if having experience in working with software applications such as Entropy, MS Office, BC in the cloud, Ever bridge & Power BI. Willingness to complete Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety. (Preference if already completed and recognized as Safety Officer by Chief Inspector of Factories & Boilers, Govt. of Goa.)
