Job DescriptionThe Coordinator will oversee contract execution, distribution and filing as well as coordinate timely payments arising from various music talent agreements and provide administrative assistance to the attorneys in the Music Business & Legal Affairs team.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manage contract execution, distribution, storage and tracking for film music agreements and correspondenceMaintain all systems relating to contract execution and storage and seek to improve efficiencies between systems and in existing processesMaintain all files in an organized, consistent mannerProcess payment requests and interact with accounting departments and outside vendors to ensure payments are accurate and on time and maintain organized reports on all paymentsDraft correspondence and agreements related to film music including master synchronization licensesCreate and maintain detailed status reports and documents and draft various correspondenceInteract positively with others and maintain relationships both internally and externallyProvide administrative support to the attorneys in the department as needed (e.g., scheduling meetings, preparation of meeting materials, filing, circulating correspondence and documents)Perform other related duties in support of the Music Business & Legal Affairs department as requested by managementQualificationsBasic Requirements:
3+ years of combined administrative and contract administration experiencePrior experience at a music or film company or an entertainment law firmPrior experience interpreting contractsProficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookDesired Characteristics:
Ability to multi-task and work in a high speed environment Excellent organization skills and attention to detailExcellent communication skills and follow throughAble to work with a variety of personalitiesKnowledge of music business/legal terminologyProven ability to exercise discretion and integrityLong-term interest in the business and legal affairs aspects of film music, as opposed to the creative sideProactive team player with excellent communication skillsHybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
