Job Overview:
The Coordinator integrates the departments services with the Hospital's primary functions as well as the inter/intra departmental services.

Required:
Doctoral Degree or Master s Degree in Physical Therapy from a CAPTE accredited schoolPreferred:
2 years supervisory experience 3-5 years clinical experienceCertifications and Licenses Required:
Licensed Physical Therapist in New JerseyWilling to interview if eligible for license, but must be licensed upon hireScheduling Requirements:

Develop/implement Policies and Procedures that guide/support servicesDetermine staff qualifications and competenceContinuously assess/improve department performanceMaintain appropriate Quality Control programsParticipate in orientation continuing education of Department staffParticipate in selection of outside servicesEnsure the department operations are effective and efficientHold staff accountable for their responsibilitiesEnsures the responsibilities for administrative and clinical direction are defined in writingEnsure coordination of care, treatment, and servicesEnsure that all areas providing patient/client care are directed by qualified professionals with appropriate training and experienceProvides direct patient care as necessaryServes as a resource to staff for clinical issuesConflict resolutionResponds to patient, physician complaints in acute care and reports results to the department directorDirectly Supervises on a daily basis: Acute Care Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Rehabilitation AidesIn the absence of the Director of Rehabilitation Services, assumes overall department responsibilitiesPerforms other supervision duties as assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation ServicesDemonstrates compliance with findings from QI program findingsParticipates in in-services and training activities as indicated Patient EducationProvides input into improving the operations of the departmentProvides input into improving the quality of care providedAssists the Director of Rehabilitation Services in the formulation of the yearly department budgetBenefits and Perks:
