POSITION SUMMARY: 
Responsible for coordinating a residency program in compliance with ACGME and AOA standards. Act as liaison between program director, residents and faculty. This position utilizes communication/interpersonal skills to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with physicians, students, residents and hospital staff.  
 
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

Associate’s Degree Required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Management, Communications, Education or related field. Certified by the National Board of Certification Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education If not certified upon hire, obtain certification within four years. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2-5 years experience in coordinating a residency training program, or a program requiring similar skills preferred. COMPETENCIES: Advanced knowledge of ACGME and AOA Accreditation standards. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and willingness to learn new programs (New Innovations, etc.) Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills. Ability to function well independently and within a team. Intermediate knowledge of personal and human resource issues including employment, visas and discipline. Self-directed and self-motivational skills with a strong attention to detail. Mature attitude and judgment; responsible; professional demeanor and appearance, patient and flexible. Ability to manage multiple priorities and to manage projects from initiation to completion within prescribed schedules and utilization of resources. Flexible schedule required to attend events/meetings in the early morning or in the evening, as well as travel for residency recruitment and coordinator educational conference.   Coordinate the resident recruitment process, including the application process, interview days, the ranking session, the rank list submission, and the match. Coordinate the resident credentialing and onboarding process. Develop, maintain and participate in resident orientation. Monitor and document evaluation processes. Coordinate the process for adverse evaluations and potential subsequent actions. Manage resident activities and schedules. Monitor work-hour regulations and compliance. Participate in the development of and maintenance of policies and procedures. Prepare responses to verification requests. Provide reports, summaries, and reviews of all training program activities. Maintain residency information on medical education website. Actively prepare for and participate in ACGME and AOA site visits. Participate in budget preparation and maintain expenses within budget. Assist the Departments of Medical Affairs and Medical Education with special projects, staffing coverage and other assigned tasks.
